Driving Effective Implementation for improving outcomes across human services and international development

The Australasian Implementation Conference (AIC) co-hosts, the Centre for Evidence and Implementation and the University of Melbourne, are excited to present the third AIC in Melbourne, October 5–6 2016.

The AIC 2016 aims to advance implementation science – the integration of research findings and evidence into policy and practice – to ensure more effective implementation will result in better health, education and wellbeing for individuals, families, and communities.

Premier event

Titled Driving Effective Implementation, this premier event will gather internationally renowned speakers and leaders in implementation science and practice. Together they will share their latest insights and lessons learnt about generating evidence, and translating and disseminating it in a manner that contributes to effective policy, practice and programs.

The two-day conference provides an important forum and opportunity to exchange inspiring ideas and showcase practical experiences on how to effectively pave the way from best evidence to best practice. It also provides a unique opportunity to engage with like-minded researchers, policymakers, practitioners, community and organisational leaders.

Who should attend?

If you work in health, education, social care or international development, and you are committed to helping communities create sustainable and lasting change, then the AIC 2016 is a must-attend event.

We invite anyone with an interest in implementation or improvement science and practice, or in knowledge translation, dissemination and exchange to join us in Melbourne.

Conference themes

Presentations will focus on six themes:

  1. Implementation concepts and theories
  2. Implementation strategies
  3. Scaling up service and system-wide innovation
  4. Measurements and tools
  5. Implementation and the policy process
  6. Implementation in international development

We look forward to meeting you in Melbourne 5–6 October 2016 and progressing the science and practice of implementation conversation.
